Election Results

My only thoughts about this election, and its results is.... YAY! I hope this turns everthing around. With the last 8 years being under the influence on some random monkey, with no thought process for common sense. I'm veryhappy that when there is a speech to the nation coming from our President we will be able to understand them without the made up words. Anouther thought is that I'm some what fearful that Mr. Obama may have a short term. This is history to have a black President after all of the hardships that this country has been through. There were so many young voters who spoke their opinions in the election. And the last time that this happened was in the Kenndey election, I just hope it doesn't end the same.

As much as I would love to feel differently I am fearful as well. Although our country seemed to be so united last night there are still those who are enraged and I am really going to keep president Obama in my prayers. If he finishes out his term I know we will see some great changes in our economy and regain a positive reputation.

I hope the Kennedy situation does not repeat, he was so loved by the people and ended up in the scope of a psychopath. Barack will be a great leader for our nation and I have high hopes for him. The only thing I don't like about your post is the insults thrown at George Bush, he might not have been the most liked president, but you can't be close to being elected with the qualities that you listed. I really look forward to the differences that will be made :)

YAY was my reaction too. I watched his speech last night and I truely haven't felt this good about a President since I began to take an interest in the issues. It is a harsh reality though, that Barack Obama needs to be aware of the dangers that anger racist conservatives pose. Best wishes of saftey to Barack Obama.

I too think this is a very ligitament concern. I think myself to be quite lucky that I live in such an open minded place here in California. Still I'm aware that America is quite diverse and there are people every where including California, though maybe not as many, who are in strong oposition to having a black muslim as our president.
I hope the CIA is on high alert because Obama's death would have such diare consequences and in my mind would make the civil rights movement and all the social progress we've made seem all for not.
